DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEEMAN-ELECT GOLDSTEIN DECLARES VICTORY IN THE 33RD WARD. Will work with neighboring Committeemen Waguespack, Ramirez-Rosa, and Murphy to reform Cook County Democratic Party

"With all the precincts reporting, the people of the 33rd Ward have voted for change.  Our ward has not seen a new Democratic Committeeman for 40 years.  I am honored by the support and look forward to serving our entire ward.  I will work hard to ensure our elections are clean, that we slate qualified and fair judges, and that we inspire our community to be involved in the political process.

"I cannot change the Cook County Democratic Party alone, and that is why I am pleased to announce that I will work with fellow Democratic Committeemen from surrounding wards: 32nd Ward Alderman Scott Waguespack, 35th Ward Alderman Carlos Ramirez-Rosa, and 39th Ward Democratic Committeeman-elect Robert Murphy. Together we plan to overhaul the process of slating judges, and will do everything to ensure that our judicial candidates are qualified and fair. It is time for a new Democratic Party, a party that has bold ideas and a commitment to positive reform, not the broken and corrupt status quo.  I look forward to the challenge and working with Committeemen Waguespack, Ramirez-Rosa, Murphy, and many others who want to remake the Cook County Democratic Party."

Aaron Goldstein is an active community resident, attorney, and public defender who was elected 33rd Ward Democratic Committeeman on March 15, 2016, defeating 40 year incumbent Dick Mell. His campaign was managed by attorney Samantha Liskow. Aaron garnered the support of Northside Democracy for America (NDFA), Alderman Carlos Ramirez-Rosa, and thousands of his neighbors. As 33rd Ward Democratic Committeeman-elect, Aaron is committed to transparency, accountability, fair judicial slating, and clean elections.
